Dispatch and proof of delivery for a building-supply distributor
A regional distributor plans 130+ deliveries a day in a spreadsheet, confirms them by phone and finds out about short or damaged loads days later from an angry customer. The software puts routes, stops and delivery evidence in one place.

- Three phases
Example project: Lakeside Supply, its customers and its figures were created by our team to show how we’d tackle this.

Step 01
Every truck on one board
Dispatchers see each route’s progress live instead of calling drivers for updates.
Sample design · sample data
01 · How it works today
A spreadsheet, a radio and paper tickets
Orders come out of the accounting system, get pasted into a route sheet and printed. Drivers call in when they finish, signed tickets come back at the end of the day, and invoices wait until someone types them up.
02 · The phases
Most painful part first
- Phase 1: dispatch board fed from the accounting system’s orders
- Phase 2: driver app with checklists, photos, signatures and offline use
- Phase 3: exceptions, credits and weekly on-time reporting
03 · What we’d measure
Signs it’s working
- Calls between dispatch and drivers per day
- Days from delivery to invoice
- Delivery disputes without evidence
- Time spent building the weekly report
